This past weekend I had the privilege of sitting down with a few co-workers for drinks. One of my co-workers was having issues with our work environment, and she REALLY need someone to talk to...funny thing is out of all the individuals at the table I was the only one willing to listen and help her with her situation. I had never realized until that very moment how completely selfish and self-centered people are...and you know what...IT SCARED ME!... and after we were done....as I rode the train home that evening I thought to myself...thats what the people REALLY REALLY want...to be heard to be understood. Genuine feelings, emotions and expressions...not some discussion about yourself...not someone ranting off sharing self-centered ideologies and isms...a real conversation....
Thats what women want from men, thats what men want from women (in relationships). Thats what elders want from the youth... thats what GOD wants from us....and thats what I want from you...
I've decided NOT to make this blog AT ALL about relationships...even though I'm sure...that WILL COME UP...aside from that I want to create a space...where WE can talk about REAL things...you know the REAL issues...I want you all to know...I'm here....
and I hope you will be as well...
